Being from South Texas, I haven’t had a lot of experience with the white stuff. We always traveled to Colorado to see some snow and were always amazed at the beauty it brings – covering over fallen logs and dead grass – you know, the mess of life. I am reminded of what the prophet said, “though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be whiter than snow” and I’m deeply thankful at the blanket of beauty that God wraps me in. Better than that, even, He changes us from within to a new person – perfect and righteous enough to become his very temple. Churches aren’t the place where God is hanging out – YOU are. Celebrate this with joy and thanksgiving – and maybe even a Moment of Silence.
